"In my early professional years I was asking the question, How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their own personal growth?" Carl Rogers
Namaste!
My goal at Aikya Psychotherapy is to offer you a space to grow into your best self. Aikya is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘union’, a nod to the fact that ultimately we are all striving to become one with our true identity or true self.
I believe that the path to our best selves lies in integrating who we truly are, who we think we are and who we want to be. Jung says, “Who looks outside dreams; who looks inside awakes.” It is this ‘looking inside’, this introspection, this insight that frees us and propels us in a direction of our choice.
Achieving or moving towards aikya is what will lead us to clarity, integrity, and peace within. Let us embark on this journey together!
